About

First of all, with a diverse volunteer work that is not in their direct duties, the employees of the Community themselves have become involved in and the members of the charitable organization Hesed, moreover, their friends and relatives, too. The types of the volunteer activity have been changed: depending on the directions of the Jewish community and depending on the level of their funding, the economic situation in the country, and changes in legislation, by the need of any emergency action or by personal initiative of the volunteers.

All my adult life, to a greater or lesser extent in different periods of time, is connected with the Jewish community. My parents are active members of the family club. The grandmother visits Hesed. I think that in a couple of years when my daughter will grow up, so I will bring her to the communal programs. Here is the circle of my contacts, here are my friends and the friends of my friends. It is good for me here. I understand that this microcosm of the Jewish community has remained, it is necessary the continuous work, continuous reproduction of the atmosphere of the goodwill and support of those who at this moment are in need of the help. I am ready to spend the time and forces for it.

I am the observing person. Precepts are important and good deeds are important for me. To help elderly and needing people, to visit ill people, to teach children is mitsva. I don’t grudge the time for talking with old men and to play with children. Besides, I receive true pleasure from such communication.

I like to learn and to teach, to develop, to know something new. I have various interests in the sphere of the exact sciences, and in the area of arts and crafts creativity. The work in thecommunity allows to realize the most various creative ideas. The limitation of the resources demands the creative approaches, and non-standard thinking. The ability to solve the major problems with costs of “three coins” – it is very useful ability in our hard time.

I am a student at the university, extra work is in the fitness club, but, somehow, this little for me — I have two days off, and one of which I dedicate to the volunteer work. I teach dancing classes for the children from 3 to 12 years and as a volunteer, I also, teach dancing the grandmothers. As for me, all of them are my favorite. The youngest of my student is 3 years old, while the oldest is 82. This is so cool!
As for me, the volunteering is a way to combine business with pleasure. Dances give me the lightness and energy, and the communication-joy and fun. I like to follow the changes of my students, when they become more confident and opener. I like the process when the ideas of choreographic productions are realized successfully. I like to see when my girls smile at the end of the lessons.

To help to each other- is naturally.
Iam alive thanks to grant aid of the strangers during the evacuation in Tashkent. In the train we were robbed. No one penny, no clothes. But the Uzbeks neighbors were very kind. Somebody brought food, somebody- a plate, somebody – some clothes, blankets, even sandals for me they brought.

A few months later, pregnant mom received a notice about the death of our father. She got into the hospital and was sick for a very long time. I was 8 years old when I was completely alone. It was very scary. When I began to fall down from the hunger, I was fed by an unknown Russian neighbor. She taught me to knit the mittens for front-line soldiers. And, because of my age, I could not be taken to the factory, the woman took my items and gave me the money. Such things can not be forgotten.
To Help to each other is a serious responsibility.
We, together with the older generation of artists from our theater, visit our peers at their homes, for whom it is difficult already to leave the house. we prepare a special program with the songs and verses, and show the fragments of our performances. We together drink tea, sometimes wine, we talk. We have a few rules: never talk about illnesses, never argue, and not to discuss politics and income.
To help to each other is life stimulus.
We are very serious about our volunteer program. We prepare a scenario, holiday songs, costumes, also, we try to cook the traditional dishes. All is done in good faith, with the soul. Seriously assumed responsibilities help to stay toned, and help to understand the meaning of the life.
